About the Society for Family Health

The Society for Family Health (SFH) is a registered trust operating in Namibia since 1997 as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). SFH is a member of the international global network of Population Services International (PSI).

Wash

SFH implemented Water Sanitation and Hygiene in Schools (WinS) to promote sanitation and hygiene in the communities.

Key Populations Project (KP)

The KP is aimed at improving access to comprehensive HIV prevention, care, treatment and support for those at substantial risk of HIV.

Malaria Prevention

We implemented a community based malaria prevention program in the malaria prone areas of Kavango, Oshana and Omusati regions since 2003.

Military Action Prevention PROGRAM (MAPP)

The MAPP programme aims to reduce the impact of HIV within the Namibia Defence Force.

The adolscent girls and young women (AGYW)

The AGYW initiative overall aim is to reduce vulnerability of adolescent girls and young women to HIV infection, unintended pregnancies and related social determinants.

Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)

The year 2017 was spent rolling out the PrEP throughout the country. PrEP has been recommended by the WHO as an additional Prevention tool for HIV.
